Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Regent built its reputation on being one of the most all-inclusive lines in luxury cruising. Specialty dining, shore excursions, beverages, and gratuities are typically built into the fare, so the number you see when you book is a lot closer to the number you actually pay. It’s a true all-suite fleet too, no inside cabins, no “just a stateroom” compromise.

Regent sails to more than 550 ports around the world, and shore excursions come included rather than tacked on, so you can get off the ship and explore without watching the clock on an upcharge. Every suite comes with a private balcony, and most sailings include onboard enrichment speakers and local guides who actually know the destination. Add in specialty restaurants and evening entertainment, and the days (and nights) tend to fill themselves.

My experience aboard Seven Seas Grandeur

I sailed Seven Seas Grandeur for two weeks on a seminar-at-sea training voyage, from Barcelona to Istanbul with stops through the Mediterranean, the Greek Isles, and Egypt. I was in an F2 Signature Suite with a walk-in closet, a bed that faced the window, and a bathroom with a double vanity and a separate deep soaking tub, the kind of space that makes a long itinerary feel unhurried.

Specialty dining and room service were complimentary, laundry was complimentary, and I worked in a massage and a few salon treatments that I jokingly called “research” (y’all, the things I do for this job). What stuck with me most is that Regent manages to feel elevated without feeling stuffy. It’s refined, not rigid.
