World Cruises & Grand Voyages
Some trips can’t be measured in days. A world cruise or a Grand Voyage is weeks or months at sea, dozens of ports across multiple continents, and a kind of immersion you can’t get from a week-long sailing. For travelers who want to see it all without juggling flights and hotels for every stop, these voyages are hard to beat.
World cruises go the furthest, circling the globe over several months, while Grand Voyages tend to run 30 to 60-plus days and often trace a single region in depth, the Mediterranean, South America, Asia. Both are typically offered on premium and luxury lines, and segments are usually available too, so you don’t have to commit to the whole voyage to experience a piece of it.
This is a category I know well, and one I’ve built real experience in. World cruises and Grand Voyages come with their own set of moving parts, cabin categories that sell early, more complex air and pre/post planning, itineraries that reward travelers who want to settle into a place rather than rush through it, and having someone who understands that difference makes all the difference.
