Your privacy matters to me, and I want you to know exactly what happens with your information. This policy covers adventureboundtravels.com and the ways you may contact Adventure Bound Travels.

Who I am

Adventure Bound Travels is owned and operated by me, Kari Jandran, a travel advisor based in Central Florida. When this policy says “I,” “me,” or “my,” it means Adventure Bound Travels. Information I collect

What you give me. If you fill out my Contact or Request a Quote form, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to share it), and whatever you tell me about your trip. If you sign up for my newsletter or download my Cruise Guide, I collect your name and email address. If you call, email, or message me, I keep that conversation so I can follow up. If you become a client, I will also need details required to plan and book your travel, such as names as they appear on travel documents, dates of birth, and travel preferences. I ask for those through my client intake form, which is hosted by Tern (the travel advisor platform I use), and other booking channels, not through the forms on this website.

Please do not enter passport numbers, payment card numbers, or health details in the website forms. Payment details are collected through a credit card authorization form inside Tern, never on this website, and I use them only to purchase the travel you have approved, and I will tell you how to share anything else I need.

What my website collects automatically. When you visit, my website and the tools I use can record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the page you came from. This happens through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Information from ads. If you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, I receive the details you enter, such as your name, email, and phone number.

How I use your information

  • To answer your questions and set up a complimentary consultation.
  • To plan, quote, and book travel for you, and to stay in touch before, during, and after your trip.
  • To send my newsletter and helpful travel emails, only if you have signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand which pages are helpful and how people find me, so I can improve my website.
  • To measure and improve my advertising on Google, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • To keep my website secure and to meet legal, tax, and supplier requirements.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the people and companies that help me run my business and book your travel:

  • Travel suppliers. When you ask me to book, I share what is needed with cruise lines, tour operators, and other travel companies, and with my host agency, Outside Agents (I am an independent contractor of Outside Agents), so your reservation can be made and supported.
  • Service providers. These include WordPress.com (Automattic), which hosts my website and records basic visit statistics, MailerLite, which sends my emails, WPForms, which powers my website forms, Tern, which hosts my client intake and credit card authorization forms, Trustindex, which displays my Google reviews, and Google and Meta, described below. They may only use your information to provide their services to me.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect my rights, my clients, or the safety of others.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Cookies are small files your browser stores so a website can remember you and measure visits. My website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and WordPress.com and Jetpack to record basic visit statistics. I use Google Ads tracking to learn whether my ads lead to inquiries. I also use the Meta pixel, which lets Facebook and Instagram show my ads to people who visited my site and measure the results, such as when someone signs up for one of my guides. These tools may collect information such as your IP address and the pages you view, and they may share it with Google or Meta.

You can limit this in several ways. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can adjust the ads you see through your Google Ad Settings and your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences. Blocking cookies may change how parts of my website work. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies, including Meta, at aboutads.info/choices.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to tell you what personal information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from my emails using the link at the bottom of any message, or by writing to me. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws, and I will honor valid requests. Email Kari@adventureboundtravels.com and I will respond as soon as I reasonably can.

How long I keep it and how I protect it

I keep your information only as long as I need it to help you, run my business, and meet legal, tax, and supplier record-keeping requirements. I use reasonable safeguards, including secure, password-protected tools from reputable providers. No website or email is perfectly secure, which is why I ask you not to send passport or payment card details through the website forms.

Other websites

My website links to other sites, such as cruise lines, tour operators, and review platforms. I am not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies when you visit them.

Children

My website and services are meant for adults 18 and older planning travel. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with me, please email me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the effective date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
