How I found myself preparing for a luxury cruise I never expected
Three years ago, this wasn’t even on my radar.
I wasn’t thinking about luxury cruises or ships like the Seven Seas Grandeur. I wasn’t mapping out itineraries through Egypt or the Greek Isles.
I was simply starting something new.
I loved travel. I wanted to help people. And I decided to see where it could go.
I didn’t have some big vision of what it would turn into.
But I showed up.
The Quiet Build
There’s a part of this job people don’t always see.
It’s not glamorous.
It’s the conversations. The research. The back and forth. The time spent making sure something feels just right for someone else.
It’s answering questions late at night. It’s celebrating when a client gets excited about their trip. It’s adjusting plans when things change.
And slowly, over time, something starts to build.
Not all at once.
Just little by little.
A booking here. A referral there. A message from someone who says, “Hey, I was told you’re the one to talk to.”
The People Behind It All
Some of my very first bookings came from friends and family.
People who trusted me before I had much experience to lean on.
That kind of support stays with you.
And then there are the clients who came along the way.
Some who found me online. Some who were referred. Some who had no idea who I was, but decided to trust me anyway.
That’s not something I take lightly.
And somewhere along the way, something else happened.
Some of those clients became friends.
Growing Into Something Bigger
When I first started, I booked all kinds of travel.
Over time, I found myself moving more and more into premium and luxury.
Not because it sounds impressive.
Because of how it feels.
There’s a difference when things are done well.
When the details are handled. When the experience flows. When you can actually relax into your trip instead of managing it the whole time.
That’s the space I’ve grown into.
And Now, This
In a couple of weeks I’ll be stepping onboard the Seven Seas Grandeur.
Sailing from Barcelona to Istanbul.
Sicily. The Greek Isles. Three full days in Egypt.
If you had told me three years ago that this would be part of my life, I wouldn’t have believed you.
Not because I didn’t want it.
I just didn’t see that far ahead.
What This Trip Really Means
Yes, I’m looking forward to the ship – like a LOT!
Yes, the itinerary is incredible.
But that’s not the part that sticks with me.
What matters is what it represents.
Growth.
Trust.
Consistency over time.
This didn’t happen overnight.
It happened because people chose to work with me. Because they came back. Because they told their friends.
Because they trusted me with something important.
Their time. Their money. Their memories.
Why I Share This
I share this because travel looks different for everyone.
Some people love planning everything themselves.
And some people would rather hand it over to someone they trust and just enjoy the experience.
If you’re in that second group, that’s where I come in.
Not with pressure. Not with a sales pitch.
Just with guidance.
What Comes Next
I’ll be sharing this trip as it gets closer and while I’m onboard.
What stands out. What surprises me. What I’d tell my clients to know.
For now, I’m just taking a moment to appreciate how I got here.
Because three years ago, I had no idea.
